GENERAL INFORMATION
The opportunity to purchase charms is earned through fulfillment of specific National Charity League, Inc. and Chapter requirements. Each eligible member may purchase the charm corresponding to her award. A gemstone may be set in a charm for each succeeding year that an award is earned.
• Previous grade-level charms may be earned separately by completing the required hours for the missed grade levels; however, the hours earned must be earned entirely within one year and must be equal to or above the current grade-level required hours.
• Gemstones of choice may be used unless otherwise indicated below.
• Diamonds are reserved for the National Council Board of Director's President Charm.
• Pearls are reserved for the NCL Ball Medallion and the Patroness serving on the National Board of Directors or serving two years as Chapter President.
• Gemstones may be set anywhere on a charm so long as it does not touch the NCL logo.
• Each chapter is responsible for evaluating and granting awards.
• A Ticktocker may neither earn nor purchase a charm ahead of her grade level.

CHOICE OF METALS
Silver Plated
Silver Plated charms are generally made in brass or zinc alloy and then silver plated. Silver Plated charms are offered as a lower priced alternative to sterling silver and gold charms.
Sterling Silver
Our Sterling Silver is the highest grade of Silver used in the United States. Silver may tarnish over time and it is best to keep your charms polished to maintain their original appearance.
10-Karat Gold
10-Karat Gold is lighter in color as the actual gold content is 41. 7 percent. 10-Karat gold is often used for commercial charms as a way to provide a gold color charm at a reduced price.
14-Karat Gold
14-Karat Gold is a richer color of gold as the actual gold content is 58.3 percent.
Gold Filled
Gold Filled is composed of a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal such as brass or silver. This application is only available for NCL, Inc. Lockets.
Gold Plating
Gold Plating is a method of placing a thin layer of gold onto the surface of another metal, most often bronze or silver, by electrochemical plating. Jewelry that has been Gold Plated tends to tarnish in a relatively short period of time but may be lightly polished a few times. The plating may wear off in time - particularly when charms are rubbing against each other.

Shipping and insurance is included in the price of your purchase unless Next Day or Second Day shipping is required or otherwise noted. All orders are shipped anywhere in the United States via USPS Priority Mail Insured unless otherwise requested. Please note that UPS cannot ship to a P.O. Box.

CHARM SIZE
Charms are in a standard size. Some of the designs may be available in a smaller or larger size at additional cost. Please enquire at info@gramercygifts.com for potential alternate charm size and cost.

ENGRAVING YOUR CHARMS
Both the 12th Grade Ticktocker and the Chapter President charms have a location for the date of service to be engraved on the front side of each charm. The cost to engrave the date is included in the price of these charms. Please specify the date of service on the product page, before placing in your cart.
Personalized engraving can be done on the backside of most of the charms. A line of engraving can be as long as there is space to engrave before having to go to a second line. In most cases an individual's first and last name will fit on one line and the date will need to go on a second line. Three initials such as BML will usually take a full line as will a monogram such as BLM. Engraving is available in both Script and Block styles. The Script style will be used if no style is chosen. The cost to engrave the backside of a charm or locket is $32.50 per line.
When ordering a locket, please note that the NCL, Inc. logo is engraved on the front and is included in the price of the locket. The above information regarding engraving charms also applies to engraving on the back of the locket.

SUMMARY:
Engraving - There is generally enough room to engrave two or three words per line, and up to three lines on most charms. However, each charm has a unique shape and size so if in doubt please call or email us and we will assist you.

GEMSTONES & PEARLS
Most charms can have gemstones added. Blue or pink sapphires are the most popular as they are one of the three precious stones along with ruby and emerald, and blue and pink are two predominant NCL colors. The following sizes and charges are for round facetted fine quality gemstones, set into a charm:
2.0 mm : $110.00 including setting
2.5 mm : $125.00 including setting
3.0 mm ~ Pearl added to a charm : $59.50 including setting
(3x) 3.0mm ~ Pearls across the bottom of a Chapter President charm : $178.50 including setting
(23x) 3.0mm ~ Pearls surrounding a Chapter President charm $1,035.00 including setting

ATTACHING CHARMS
Attaching charms to a bracelet is $25 per charm.
